Amela is an AI Cybersecurity Architect serving as a liaison between cybersecurity, governance, and the business world. With a background as a Cybersecurity Architect (in consulting and the financial sector) and in AI policy (working with the EU AI Act since 2021), she aspires to build trust in AI by addressing its cybersecurity risks and emphasizing its non-deterministic nature as a socio-technical system.
Leaving the doomer/boomer scenarios aside for a moment, we need to see AI for what it is today — how it is being used, misused, and manipulated. From a cybersecurity standpoint, Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability are the core principles and the lens through which digital risk is viewed. With AI being a socio-technical system — more than just 1s and 0s — AI presents risks that look slightly different through the traditional cyber lens. Let’s explore how together.
